Thank you for your interest in joining The Center for Economic Accountability’s mission to bring transparency, accountability and free-market-based reforms to state and local economic development initiatives across America.
We don’t take government grants and very few corporations are interested in supporting opponents of corporate welfare like ourselves, so we rely on donors like you to support our work.

Atlas network: the cea is a “smart bet” for donors
For more than 30 years, Atlas Network has helped organizations around the world promote the principles of individual liberty, property rights, limited government, and free markets. Their experts work with think tanks and advocacy organizations in 94 countries around the world to advance human flourishing through policies that advance the principles of freedom, and they know better than anyone else what goes into being an effective free-market-based organization in today’s world.
The CEA is one of just ten organizations in the U.S. selected by Atlas Network for recognition as a “Smart Bet” for 2020 for our “innovative and scalable efforts to promote ideas and policies that encourage individual freedom, free enterprise, and prosperity.” We’re especially honored to be both the newest and smallest Smart Bet, which we take as a powerful endorsement both of what we’ve managed to accomplish in a short time and the importance of the mission we’ve taken on.
This is the first time that Atlas Network has endorsed American organizations in this manner, saying Smart Bet organizations are “punching above their weight,” and “with the right amount of investment and recognition, are likely to make important strides for the future of freedom in the United States.”
We are honored for this recognition and grateful for the support of Atlas Network and its donors.
SHOP ON AMAZON, SUPPORT THE CEA
Do you shop on Amazon? Do you enjoy the irony of Amazon donating to support the CEA’s efforts to roll back the kinds of giant subsidy and incentive deals that Amazon frequently engages in around the country? If so, please consider selecting The Center for Economic Accountability as your charity of choice to support when you shop at smile.amazon.com. There’s no additional cost to you.
Some of our supporters choose to give through donor-advised funds. We welcome such grants and are happy to work with foundations that manage donor-advised funds to fulfill compliance and reporting requirements.
If you are interested in the benefits of this model but do not have an existing donor-advised fund in place, the CEA is proud to work closely with DonorsTrust, “the community foundation for liberty.” DonorsTrust holds donations in support of the CEA’s programs in charitable trust, restricted to their purposes.
